A Rustic Cotswold Wedding planned by Jemma-Jade Events
Apologies for the blogging silence. We have been busy planning an array of stunning events that we will share with you soon. BUT, first let me introduce you to the beautiful wedding of A&G, set in the idealic surroundings that are the Cotswolds. This wedding was memorable for its wonderful countryside charm and intricate rustic decor.
The bride and groom got married in a small church perched on a high hill in the pretty village of Shilton with its pond and ford, nestling on the eastern slopes of the Cotswolds. After the church service, guests were invited to change into their jeans and shirts and come and join the party! The newly wedded couple had decided on a relaxed barn style wedding blended with a selection of Jemma-Jade Events’ signature personal touches, so that is exactly what we gave them!
The Barn was decorated with colourful blooms in milk jugs, vintage crates and milk bottles. Guests were seated on haystacks and invited to eat from a range of live food stalls bursting with the most eye-catching and mouthwatering food. To add to this already visual feast was the stunning four-tiered vanilla naked wedding cake filled with chocolate butter cream and strawberry rose jam. We placed the wedding cake on a wooden barrel, dusted it in sugar icing and decorated it with an abundance of fresh red fruits and flowers, which provided a great focal point.
Guests danced the night away to a contemporary country band and as the stars started to sparkle in the sky we invited them to toast some marshmallows by the fire at their very own smores bar. As the clock struck twelve, guests learned how to line-dance in a true Country and Western style!
Jemma-Jade Events worked with A&G to plan every aspect of their Cotswold wedding, advising them on all aspects of their day from invitation design and RSVP management to sourcing the perfect suppliers, styling and the overall coordination of the wedding day.
